Wondering how to learn from zero digital imaging till the average or might be you’ll be professional in just days and you could do it every where and not trapped in a classroom. Then the answer is online interactive learning suite. The one I know one of it is 123.
The 123 of digital imaging interactive learning suite was first developed in 2001 by Vincent Bockaert to bring up to date photography information to both amateur and professional photographers in an interactive format. Here we are almost a decade later and the 123 of digital imaging is as up to date as ever, something not easily accomplished in the fast paced digital photography world. This is the beauty of the product, and shows the true dedication that Vincent and his crew have in keeping this amazing product up to date. No wonder the imaging suite is popular with schools and government bodies such as police departments and the Armed Forces. As well, many of the industry’s top manufacturers such as Intel, Nikon, Epson and others use 123di for internal training. High praise indeed!

I purchased my first copy of 123di (version 2) about 6 years ago, moved up to version 4 a few years back and just recently updated to their most recent release, version 6.2. Digital imaging has changed incredibly in this short period of time and while I found these earlier versions to be very well done I felt it was time to see what Vincent and his crew were up to with the latest version of 123di. I purchased the latest version a few weeks ago, here’s a quick review.

Resolution is a term used a lot in photography these days – regardless which type of photography you do, or which type of camera you use, understanding image resolution, pixels and the different properties attributed to them is so important.

Whether you are printing, scanning or sending an image by e-mail, you need to understand and know how to keep your images sharp and preserve as much detail as possible in your final print.

Photography resolution is a measurement of image quality, so you may define resolution by how much detail is in your print. If your print has sharp detail you may consider your image to be of good resolution. If detail is blur in your image you may consider your image to have poor resolution. Good resolution is a direct result of having a large number of pixels in an image.

Talking about digital imaging, the most common equipment used to capture an image is a camera. Either its new digital or pocket camera. Along with many features offered, the image quality is one of the most significant features that should be considered. Before, many vendor / brand compete with its resolutions, but later found that resolutions are not everything, now days people more considered on camera with low or none distortion or noise, although resolution might impact on the size of the image.

The wide benefit of digital image are also spread in astronomic, might be it was first being used in here as a supportive software. Stacking & aligning: A process of combining all subs into one with specific algorithm, resulting in one photograph with the exposure duration equivalent with the exposure duration of each subs times the total of subs that has been made. If it is necessary, during the shooting, you can take darks, flats, and offset to increase the quality of a photograph resulted from stacking process.

Gradient removal/sky background flattening Besides information about the main object, other information is recorded too, namely light pollution which is represented by the gradation of dark to bright on the background. This process aims to erase or minimize the gradation as a consequence of light pollution and vignette.
